The Kings of France 18th Century French Oak Flooring Collection exudes authenticity and beauty like no other wood floor on the market today. It's closest competitor is simply French reclaimed oak floors. The advanced aging technique of our master wood craftsmen translates into an 18th century French oak patina that reveals historic French oak grains and patterns prized in the wood industry.
The 14 different colors of these aged French oak floors - from grays to oaks to walnut - are achieved not by stains or oils, but by an oxidation process. This process, working within the tannin of the French oak, changes of the composition of the wood fibers from within. This translates into colors so authentic that it is hard to believe these were once new oak planks.
My latest creative outlet as co-owner of Pavé Tile, Wood & Stone, Inc. and our new division Historic Decorative Materials was to create a YouTube channel to showcase videos of these fabulous aged French oak floors. I wanted others to see and feel the beauty that we see daily in our Pavé showroom that is open by appointment. I am an artist, but with these companies - I also became just knowledgeable enough on Premier Pro, After Effects and Photoshop to give the Kings of France Collection of the vision that I see in my head. I am nearly finished with all the colors, but here are the first 11 videos I produced with 4 more to go. To view all our videos when they are completed, please go to Historic Decorative Materials YouTube Channel.

If you are interested in making a design appointment at the Pavé Showroom, please call 413.247.6191. We built Pavé's showroom with beautifully vetted French and Belgian tile, brick, wood and stone building materials and as an artist and designer, I use the rules of painting including light and dark value scale, the saturation scale and hue/color to combine the right reclaimed and aged building materials and how it relates to the interiors of one's home. The Kings of France 18th Century French Oak Flooring Collection, with 14 different colors, helps me to design freely and pair it beautifully with our Reclaimed French Limestone Floors like our Dalle de Bourgogne and Bars de Montpellier or our antique Belgian Bluestone pavers.
Thank you for your time.
